10×10 Event Raises $13k for Bio·R

The hugely successful 10x10 Adelaide event raised approximately $13,000 to assist us in creating a biodiverse future.

Bio·R Director, Dr David Paton AM, was selected as guest speaker at 10×10 Philanthropy’s Adelaide event in February. David spoke about all the good work that Bio·R does with the help of our supporters, volunteers and donors.

Hosted by The Hon Julie Bishop, David presented alongside Alan Noble (AusOcean) and Tim Jarvis (The Forktree Project).

As part of the event, we had a booth set up, where Dr Fiona Paton and Senior Ecologist Tom Hunt interacted with the crowd to give more background on Bio·R’s activities, facilitate donations and share opportunities to get involved with our volunteering opportunities.

As a result, we received approximately $13,000 in donations!

We will be putting this towards the costs of establishing a native grass seed orchard at Frahns Farm to grow the large number of seeds needed to re-establish native grasses across the 550-hectare Frahns Farm property.

A big thank you to the team at 10×10 Adelaide for putting on a fantastic show and for their support of local organisations creating a better future, just like ours.
