Event: Bird Banding – Frahns Farm 2022

Back by popular demand, take the opportunity to join ornithologist Dr David Paton AM and the Bio·R team for a fun, engaging and informative bird banding session.

Add a heading 1600 × 800px 9

Bird banding involves fitting bands with unique numbers onto the legs of wild birds. Once banded, the lives of individual birds can be tracked through time. We use this technique to determine how birds are using revegetated woodland habitat in South Australia.

Each session will also include an (optional) tour of our habitat reconstruction works at Frahns Farm.

But be quick… there are only 15 spots available for each session!

  • Session 1: Saturday 17th September, 8:00am – 11:00am SOLD OUT
  • Session 2: Saturday 17th September, 11:00am – 2:00pm SOLD OUT
